SUBJECTS FOR THE SWISS CYNOLOGICAL SOCIETY SKG

Triggering emotions in an instant is the art of strong communication.
This story is about my art of putting the characteristics of all nine Swiss dog breeds on paper with just a few strokes - typical of the breed. Direct. Friendly. Clear.
Eye contact becomes a special eye-catcher and magnet in the new patron campaign for the Swiss Cynological Society (SKG).
For me, this eye contact ruled out the option of emphasizing dog breed differences in profile. It's pretty tricky when the Appenzeller Sennenhund, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and the Entlebucher Sennenhund all look so alike.
Thanks to the business+design AG team for their trust. And I wish the SKG every success with the new campaign.

Holiday season.
For me, the summer break starts with a month-long experiment. A small-format work is created every day. Without any claim to perfection, but varied.
Once again I would like to experiment uninhibitedly, reduce, try out new things. Draw animals as you please. Right where I am.

In today's interview we take you to Switzerland, more precisely to the edge of the forest of Zollikerberg in the canton of Zurich. This is where Sandra Chiocchetti alias @chiosketch lives, works and resides. She describes herself with the words: "sketch artist, brand maker, seminar leader, author, left-hander and hat wearer".
To this actually comprehensive description of her person, we would like to add heart warmer. She succeeds in bringing out a piece of the soul of her animal motifs in an unmistakable and unique way. You don't just look at a being, you feel it.
With apparent ease, Sandra manages to fill her animal drawings with life in such a way that when you look at them, you almost wait for the motif to move in the next moment. We love this expressiveness and Sandra's special, unique style. Continue reading ->

WORKSHOP MARCH 1-2
CANCELLED DUE TO COVID
COURSES AT BOESNER ATELIER IN MARCH NOT YET POSSIBLE

Once again it takes a lot of patience and nerves from all of us. Unfortunately, courses are still not allowed in March.
So with a heavy heart we had to cancel this course.
This hurts, especially since the course was already booked up for months and all my anticipation now comes to nothing.
Boesner Atelier and I are trying to find an alternative before the end of the year. But I cannot promise anything.
I wish all participants a lot of perseverance until the next opportunity. Be sure to stay healthy.

Three hours of signing books - is there anything more beautiful?
On this evening at GLOBUS, it wasn't just my eyes that shone. You couldn't see all the smiles, but you could hear them.
A big thank you to everyone who came. This includes the dachshund - a model from the book - who came especially.
It is a book for the mind that has never existed in this form. Two years of work finally in your hands, as a high-quality produced and thread-stitched book.

PRESSURE IMPRESSES

In my online store tier-art.store the first pre-orders have arrived. I am very happy about that and I like to say thank you.
Maxim received a copy of the proof as a gift for his 15th birthday on October 19. He thinks that page 154 belongs at the beginning. But we'll leave it that way.
As we prepare for the book launch, my big concern is the ever-changing Covid 19 regulations. But at the beginning of the week there was also the mishap with the incorrectly produced invitation cards. In a hurry, I needed another reliable printer. Within "no-time", the printing company Bader + Niederröst AG stepped in for me and produced my cards almost overnight. Thanks a million!

Yes I am a bit excited and full of anticipation. Intensive were my last two weeks, in which I totally revised and perfected the book again. Now the preliminary version is in production.
And today another High-Light: The confirmation of the book-vernissage on 10.11.2020 in the Globus in the Glattzentrum. It is then already pre-Christmas time and everything festively decorated. It could not fit better.
I will of course be delighted if many people reserve the date now.

EXHIBITION FUNDRAISING GALA Friends of African Wildlife

My motto for the African Wildlife: STAY MAGICAL - and for that it needs us. The donation event of "Friends of African Wildlife" was a great success. Most of my 28 exhibited paintings found a new home and generated a valuable contribution to the protection of our wildlife.
In the evening a donation total of CHF 30'000.- was collected.
Thank you all for your support.
